If you know English already, you may have tendency to have the influence of that in Danish

There are few differences in Danish, let us see what those are...

Additional Alphabets

There are three additional letter, which are widely used in Dansk 

Æ

Ø

Å

Pronunciation

They pronounce some of the alphabets differently. 

Mouth 

You need to use wider mouth for alphabets i, e, æ, a

You need to use round mouth for alphabets y, ø, , u, o, etc.

Tongue 

In addition to that, you need to twist your tongue.

For soft d, you need to touch your tongue behind the teeth of upper jaw.



Listening to a Dane

You need to hear the pronunciation of letters coordinating with the mouth movements from a Dane. Check the below video for the same.
